Imagine a world where every video on YouTube can be hyper-personalised — where a company can take every datapoint from a video and reassemble it, like Lego blocks, into something built for the individual viewer.
That’s what ION Video says it’s offering. Founder and head of innovation Finbar O’Hanlon says ION curates video data in a way that lets AI act as producer and editor for a new generation of content — assembling and reassembling it the way you’d snap together Lego pieces.
We sat down with Finbar and ION’s CEO, Anthony Baker, to talk about how the company’s AI-driven technology converts and reassembles data from traditional video into these hyper-personalised offerings.
Anthony says ION is now in commercial discussions with more than 20 companies spanning technology, telecommunications, media, enterprise infrastructure and government — heavyweights in their respective sectors.
The company’s core strategy is to license its IP to these partners. Each Proof of Concept currently underway is worth well in excess of $1 million, Anthony says, with follow-on contracts expected to be significantly larger.
